Observation Made Accessible
WingWatch Technologies builds tools that help people notice, identify, and appreciate the wildlife sharing their backyard. We believe everyone deserves to understand the living world around them — no field guide required.
Our Story
WingWatch started with a simple question: what birds visit when nobody is watching? Traditional feeders attract visitors, but offer little insight into who arrives, when they come, or how often they return.
We set out to build something different — a connected feeder that captures visits automatically, identifies likely species with honest confidence levels, and creates a reviewable record of backyard wildlife over time.
Our approach is grounded in evidence and designed to be welcoming. Whether you are a first-time birder, a classroom teacher, or a conservation researcher, WingWatch meets you where you are and helps you notice more.
“We build for curiosity, not competition. Every backyard has a story — WingWatch helps you read it.”

What Guides Us
Four principles that shape how we design, communicate, and build.
Curious
We encourage discovery by making everyday wildlife encounters worth noticing and exploring. Our tools surface interesting details and invite users to look closer.
Reassuring
Uncertain identifications and device status are explained plainly, without alarm. We show confidence levels honestly and provide clear next steps.
Grounded
Every record is anchored in real evidence — timestamps, images, feeder conditions, and concrete activity details. We separate observation from interpretation.
Welcoming
Beginners and experienced observers participate side by side. We explain terms at the point of need and never assume expertise.
Our Mission
To make wildlife observation accessible, evidence-based, and rewarding for everyone — from backyard birders to conservation researchers — by combining thoughtful hardware with honest, helpful software.
